For 15 years and counting, we get asked the same things year after year…are there really gifts coming to the Fort Peck Reservation. The answer is yes! There are gifts on their way. We hope the kids are thrilled with the toys, clothing, and variety of gifts this year.
There are hundreds of high quality winter jackets on the way, remote controlled cars, and other toys. We have a t-shirt made for all of the volunteers traveling to Fort Peck, made by none other than Mrs. Claus.
People can be so thoughtful when they know their efforts will directly help kids.
Did you know that there has been dozens of musical instruments donated to the schools on the Reservation?
It’s true!
We’ve sent complete drum sets, acoustic and electric guitars, a bass, amplifiers, a keyboard, and some kid sized instruments.
We even had an aspiring guitarist join us onstage over the summer to jam out with the LHNC house band: Don’t Quit Your Day Job.
If you ever experience a concert at Wolf Point or Poplar Fun Days, you’ll hear some of the instruments live.
Did you know that a small town school on the Reservation now has an awesome PA system to replace the crackling old one?
Don’t worry; Santa knows not everyone wants to be a musician so there will be lots and lots of toys, clothing and the like.
It’s our goal to reach every kid on the Reservation!
Special thanks go to Kenny Smoker, HPDP, Dr. Megan Cartillar, the teachers, and the volunteers who give so much of their time to make all of this happen, year after year.
