With all the difficulties facing the kids on the Fort Peck Reservation, not receiving gifts from Love Has No Color will not be among them.
While adults on and off the Reservation attempt to understand and deal with the pandemic, the kids are left scared, confused, unaware, and are attempting to survive the best they can.
The uncertainty in their lives has never been higher. As if living in third world conditions is not bad enough, these kids are not allowed to move about the Reservation, attend schools on a full-time basis, socialize, or participate in sports or recreation.
Sure, it can be said that it is for their safety, but it sure doesn’t feel that way.
It feels like even more isolation than they already felt.
Thousands of presents are being shipped to the Fort Peck Reservation for the kids. These gifts will warm their hearts and they will come at just the right time.
Despite the current difficulties, each gift received will be a symbol of hope and a brighter future.
For 16 years Love Has No Color has been providing hope, health, and dignity to the kids and adults of the Fort Peck Reservation.
